Hall of Shame

There are many places in New York City that are inaccessible to wheelchairs, but not all of them deserve to be in the Hall of Shame.  Here we list places or businesses that treated someone badly or refused to make required accommodations.

You might want to avoid these places.  Then again, you might want to see if they’ve corrected their issues yet.

Ray from Australia says “The Bedford Hotel promised wheelchair accessibility, but brought out a dangerous portable ramp to put over the stairs that was too steep for a power chair.  We notice they don’t advertise wheelchair accessibility any more.”
